Chinese multinational technology Lenovo, which is headquartered in Beijing, says its quarterly profit rose 23 percent in the three months ending June.
The world’s biggest personal computer maker said it earned $174 million as sales of smartphones and other mobile devices doubled.
Sales rose 10 percent year-on-year to $8.8 billion with sales of smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices up 105 percent.
Laptop sales, which account for 52 percent of revenue at the firm, rose almost five percent.
