Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel clinched his fourth consecutive world title with victory in the Indian Grand Prix on Sunday.
It was the German’s sixth consecutive win and he has now become the fourth man in the history of the sport to win four world titles, joining Fangio, Prost and Schumacher on an illustrious list.
“I’m speechless,” said Vettel after his title win. “I don’t know what to say.”
The win in India was Vettel’s tenth this year and he can still match Schumacher’s record of 13 wins in a single season.
Vettel’s Red Bull team also won the Formula 1 constructors’ championship for the fourth consecutive year.
