Tens of thousands of anti-government protesters have marched on a second day of demonstrations in Bangkok calling for the Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and her government to step down.
There was a huge rally on Sunday which drew out some 100,000 people and crowds again marched on Monday.
The protests have been triggered by a controversial amnesty bill, which would have allowed former leader Thaksin Shinawatra to return to Thailand without serving a jail sentence for corruption.
The legislation failed to pass in the Senate earlier this month.
Thaksin Shinawatra – Yingluck’s brother – was ousted in a military coup in 2006 and the country has been deeply divided since.
Further protests are expected on Tuesday.
