More than 300 cybersecurity experts from Indonesia and abroad attended the recent Indonesia Security Summit (ISS 2018), held in Jakarta.
ISS 2018 got off to a flying start with Chief Guest, Asep Chaerudin, Deputy of Prevention and Recovery of National Cyber Encryption Agency of Indonesia (BSSN), inaugurating the event and addressing the audience with his keynote speech.
Throughout the day, there were interesting presentations and panel discussions led by some of the top cybersecurity professionals like Kristiono Setyadi, CTO, Jakarta Post, Kevin O’Leary, Field Chief Officer, Palo Alto Networks Asia Pacific, Faisal Yahya, Head IT, Cybersecurity & Insurance Enterprise Architect, PT IBS Insurance Broking Service, Mike Stephens, Senior Vice President Business Development Asia, Senetas, Ross Oakley, CEO, Salt Group, Br. Gen Dr. Winston Tommy Watuliu, CID (Cybercrime), Indonesian Government, Ali Hakim, Regional Sales Manager, ASEAN, Akamai Technologies, Gibbon Tamba, VP-Big Data, Bank Rakyat and many more.
Day two of the Summit began with an informative speech by Muhammad Neil Himam, Director of ICT Infrastructure, BEKRAF. Setiaji Setiaji, Head of Jakarta Smart City, M. Salahuddien, Vice Chairman of Security Operations, IdSIRTII/CC, Ishak Surjana, CIO, Rajawali Plantations, Christopher Wilson Paul, Founder of Indonesia Private Investigation Agency were among the keynote speakers and panel members of the day. A fireside chat between Esti Djuwarta, CTO, The F Thing World and Yohannes Setiawan, Country BISO, Citibank, followed by a presentation by Christophe Doche, Executive Director, The Optus Macquarie University Cyber Security Hub, concluded the knowledge sharing activities of ISS 2018.
Palo Alto Networks, Akamai, Senetas, Salt Group, Parasoft, Barracuda Networks, Highloadlab, Arcon, Dtex Systems, Anabatic Technologies, Seraphim, Arthatel, Sophos, Virtus Indonesia, Magnet Forensics, CSC, Telkomtelstra and Halo Data were among the top companies who showcased their cybersecurity solutions at ISS 2018 with Macquarie University as the official education partner.
Over the course of the two days, the networking area stayed abuzz with 300-plus delegates from more than 150 Indonesian companies, including government bodies like the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Indonesian Air Force, Ministry of Finance, Indonesian Army, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Directorate of Cybercrime, Indonesian National Armed Forces, Indonesian Private Investigation Agency and more, networking with their peers and some of the most innovative solution providers in the market.
